Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Khalid Dad Lak Wednesday lauded the services of the police officers and officials for providing foolproof security to ensure peaceful polls in the provincial metropolis.
He also said that holding general election under present circumstances was a big challenge for the law enforcing agencies and the Lahore police left no stone unturned to provide peaceful and conducive atmosphere for the voting.
The city police chief stated this while addressing a high-level meeting at the Police Lines Qila Gujjar Singh on Wednesday. DIG (Operations) Jawad Ahmed Dogar, DIG (Investigations) Zulfiqar Hameed, SSP (operations) Abdul Jabbar and SSP (Investigations) Abdul Rab were also present on this occasion besides all the divisional police officers.
Lahore CCPO Khalid Dad Lak said it was due to the untiring efforts of the police officers and officials that the elections were held in peaceful manners in the city.
He said ensuring peace polls, the police proved that they had been struggling to provide protection to the citizens. ”Since we have been facing the problem of unrest in the country, peaceful polls are a big achievement, he said adding that his lawmen left no stone unturned for the purpose.
