An ostentatious marriage

I must condemn the unnecessary coverage given to Umar Akmal’s wedding. The Shirwani that cost six lacks, (which could have bought a house for a poor person) and the groom’s entourage, in their Mercedes, was just an ostentatious display of money. All rules by the government, to condemn and eradicate affluent living and wasteful lifestyle were ignored, and the media went overboard to give it prime time coverage. For many they are our national heroes and are expected to set standards of decency and humility. FBR should be asking how much tax he paid and the government should be looking into his legal earnings.
