LAHORE – Punjab dominated the opening day of the Pakistan Sports Board’s (PSB) Inter-Provincial Athletics Championships being held under the auspices of SSB at the PSB’s Coaching Centre, Karachi. Punjab dominated in the first two heats which were held in the U-14 boys 400 meters athletics events. On the first day, Victoria of Sindh won first position in girls’ high jump while Minahal and Isha were second and third. Minahal of Punjab won first position in the 400 meters race, Rubab of Punjab second and Rehana of Sindh third. Rabia of Sindh won shot put event while second and third positions went to Maliaka and Momina of KPK. In the boys U-14 events, Kashif Nawaz of Punjab bagged first position in long jump followed by Hassaan from Punjab while the third went to Sindh.–Staff Reporter
