Officers rapped over poor edu in Mirpur

MIRPUR (AJK)-The AJK chief secretary expressed dismay over the poor performance of public sector educational institutions here and sought a report on the issue within three days.
Chief Secretary of Azad Government Jammu & Kashmir Jalal Sakandar Sultan issued these orders during a surprising visit to various educational institutions.
The CS also addressed civil servants during his visit to Mirpur. Commissioner Raja Amjad Pervez Ali Khan briefed the chief secretary about the pace of various ongoing development projects in Mirpur division.
Addressing civil servants, the CS directed them to do their duties with devotion, follow discipline and rule of law, saying that no negligence in this regard would be tolerated.
“New buildings of police stations and jails will be constructed, free medicine to patients will be provided,” he said. He directed Department of Health to provide all health facilities to poor people. “All the completed buildings be handed over to department of education,” he directed. The CS said all ongoing projects be completed on time. He directed Works Department to release funds for construction and upgradation of roads.
