Usman Buzdar appeals to citizens to maintain social distance, wear facemasks, remain confined to homes

Lahore   -  Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar has said that the number of corona vaccination centres is being increased in Lahore and other parts of the province to accommodate maximum citizens on daily basis. He said that as compared to other provinces, more people are being vaccinated every day in Punjab. He appealed to the citizens to maintain social distance, wear facemasks and remain confined to their homes during Eid-ul-Fitr holidays. 

Following SOPs is in the best interest of the people.

CM offers Eid-ul-Fitr prayers in mosque of CM’s Office

Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar offered Eid-ul-Fitr prayers in the mosque of the CM’s Office due to rain. 

While maintaining social distance, the CM greeted Eid with the people. 

He prayed for the development, prosperity, stability and peace in the country. He also prayed for those who embraced martyrdom in Israeli bombardment and missile attacks in Gaza as well as

for those who lost their lives due to corona pandemic including martyrs of the nation, who sacrificed their lives for maintaining peace in the motherland and expressed solidarity with their families.

Buzdar said that he prayed that Pakistan achieves the goal of development and prosperity. 

CM, Mehmood strongly condemn Israeli attacks on unarmed civilians

Minister for Housing Mian Mahmoodur Rasheed called on Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar on Eid day. 

The CM and Minister for Housing strongly condemned Israeli attacks on unarmed civilians in Palestine.

Usman Buzdar regretted that Israeli government has written a new history of barbarity and savagery by committing unbearable brutalities on innocent Palestinians on the occasion of Eid and termed the silence of international community on this issue a criminal negligence.

He said that Israel blinded by the military power is violating all human rights and values in Palestine. The people of Pakistan are standing with their Palestinian brothers and sisters in time of trial. The peace of the region will be endangered if the atrocities of Israel would not stop, he added.

Expresses sorrow over loss of precious human lives in a car accident

Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar has expressed sorrow and grief over the loss of precious human lives in a car accident near Wazirabad and sought a report from district administration about this incident. He extended heartfelt sympathies and condolences with the bereaved families of the

deceased. He directed to provide best medical facilities to the injured.

People’s cooperation to stop spread of virus a must

Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar has said that people’s cooperation to stop the spread of coronavirus outbreak is of great importance. 

He highlighted the significance of wearing facemask besides following SOPs and maintaining social distancing. 

He warned that violations of SOPs will not be tolerated during Eid holidays. 

He directed to strictly implement coronavirus SOPs as precaution is better than cure. Implementation on SOPs will be ensured through administrative measures CM added. 

He asked everyone to act responsibly. He directed concerned departments and institutions to ensure complete implementation on the measures and guidelines issued by the government. 

No room for politics of chaos in present scenario

Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar has said that following the golden principles of brotherhood and unity is the prime need of the time and all should work together for betterment and development of the country by putting behind personal interests and political affiliations. 

Usman Buzdar said that Pakistan is facing internal and external challenges and there is no room for politics of chaos in present scenario.

He said that opposition should rise above and leave negative politics besides adopting collecting approach for the betterment and prosperity of the people and progress of the country. 

The incumbent government is determined for the promotion of  unity and brotherhood in the country as it is not the time to create differences among the nation. 

Directs indiscriminate crackdown against artificial price-hikers

Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar has directed to launch indiscriminate crackdown against the artificial price-hikers, profiteers and hoarders in the province. 

He directed Cabinet Committee on Price Control to ensure availability of essential items at fixed rates to the public and warned that no laxity or negligence will be tolerated in this regard. 

He further directed to initiate legal action against artificial price-hikers. He said that

under Anti-Hoarding Ordinance 2020 action should also be taken against the hoarders. 

Usman Buzdar said that such elements do not deserve any leniency and the government will go to last extent in providing relief to the people. 

Curbing such mafia is necessary to safeguard the rights of consumers. He said that government will take all possible administrative measures for ensuring stability in the prices of essential commodities.

He said that illegal increase in the prices of essential items will not be tolerated. 

The rights of a common man will be protected in the present scenario. All out measures will be taken in providing relief to the people. Those involved in hoarding and profiteering are not only the lawbreaker but also of the enemy of the society, he concluded.

Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar has expressed sorrow and grief over the sad demise of renowned artist Farooq Qaiser. He extended heartfelt sympathies and condolences with the bereaved family. 

Usman Buzdar said that late Farooq Qaiser popularized the character of Uncle Sargam where it became famous among children and elders. The late Farooq Qaiser was an institution in himself who took Putli Tamasha and Kaliyaan to the peak with his God-given abilities. 

The services of late Farooq Qaiser for art will always be remembered, he added.
