KARACHI - As many as four people including an elderly couple were killed in separate incidents took place in various parts of the metropolitan on Saturday. As per details, Mohammad Yar 70, and his wife Saleh Bibi, 65, were shot dead at their house situated at Block-9, Bakhtawar Goth, in the jurisdiction of Gulistan-e-Johar Police Station. The area police said that the incident took place here on Friday late night when the couple resisted with the two unknown robbers who came to their house and engaged in looting the stuff and the money. The robbers shot them and fled with two looted items. The targeted couple received severe bullet injuries resulted their immediate death. The dead bodies were shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center for legal formalities. The deceased left behind eight children. Police added that their three children were present at the house when the incident occurred. Police have registered the case. In another incident, Tabish, 23, a resident of Al-Falah Society was shot dead by unidentified culprits when he was walking toward his resident situated at Bismillah Town after hearing the screaming for help of the woman inside the house. This incident took place in the jurisdiction of Shah Faisal Police Station. DSP Raza Hussain Shah said that a man had come to the said house of the Arshad who is the policeman and posted to Gulshan police station where they fought with Arshad's wife, upon which Arshad's wife screamed for help. The people in the area gathered surrounding the house as they heard the voices for help to leave with the robbers. Tabish was one of those people. During this, an unidentified man opened fire while fleeing with the result that Tabish sustained bullet injuries and died, although the man managed to flee. DSP further said that Arshad recently got love-marriage and it might be possible that the people who came at his house were his relatives and fought over domestic dispute. No FIR was registered till the time this report was filed. Apart from this, a body of youth was found from New M A Jinnah Road, in the jurisdiction of Jamshed Quarters police station. Deceased was said to be a robber who was shot dead by the firing of a man to whom he was snatching. His body was shifted to Edhi morgue (Sohrab Goth) for identification.
