ISLAMABAD - In pursuance of the directives of President and PM's decision taken on the basis of detailed damage assessment, Cabinet Division Emergency Relief Cell has released an amount of Rs 2 billion to the government of Balochistan. The amount has been released for the rehabilitation of quake victims and also for the reconstruction of their 711 completely damaged houses, 4,511 substantially damaged houses (not liveable), 2,309 partially damaged houses and 2,354 minor damaged houses. The aforementioned amount also includes compensation for 163 deceased and 175 injured persons (who remained admitted in hospitals). The said amount will be disbursed through bodies consisting of representatives of district administration, Army, FC, Earthquake Reconstruction and Rehabilitation Authority and National Disaster Management Authority. The Prime Minster has also directed to deposit all cash assistance received for earthquake affectees of Balochistan in the President's Relief Fund for Earthquake Victims-2005 administered by Cabinet Division. All those persons and organisations intending to donate cash are advised to deposit their donations in the accounts: G-12-Special Deposit Fund; G-121-Relief Fund; G-12130-President's Relief Fund for Earthquake Victims-2005.
