KARACHI – The chief of Jamaat-e-Islami, Sindh Meraj-ul-Huda said that anti-Islam forces were hatching conspiracies against Pakistanis by stimulating rifts between Shia and Sunni sects of Islam.These evil forces are also forcing infidels to carryout blasphemous act against Prophet (PBUH); making of profane movie by the US, is part of the conspiracies.Addressing a press conference on the issue of ‘Religious harmony and Prestige of the holy Prophet (PBUH), at Idara Noor-e-Haq on Thursday, Dr Meraj-ul-Huda Siddiqui said that co-related the issues of sectarian violence and blasphemous moves and indicated that the recent spree of sectarian violence was a conspiracy to get Muslims split over non-issues and converted their focus from nefarious conspiracies of blasphemous moves. He said that the only way to foil the bid of sectarian violence and blasphemous moves is conceal in unity of Muslims. He urged that the religious clerics of both sects Shia and Sunni to stress the unity of Muslims in their sermons so as to get rid of sectarian violence. Siddiqui was of the view that in ongoing situation, where conspiracies of spreading the poison of sectarian violence are on full swing, the need of the hour is to prepare an antidote of Muslims’ unity.  He said that each citizen was seemed in a state of panic, fear and agony, due to ongoing situation. He said that maintaining peace and religious harmony is the obligation of the government. However it has failed, now it was the duty of religious scholars and clerics to come forward for the unity of Muslim Umma.  He also pressed the western powers for their dual standards and said that in the Western countries, debate on holocaust is ban. He further said that publication of objectionable snaps of British princes was also banned in France, while blasphemous content was allowed in these countries in the pretext of freedom of expression. Allama Nazir Abbas Taqvi of Islami Tehreek was also addressing the conference and assured the meeting that Shia leaders and clerics would ensure the safety of mosques, situated on the way of Moharam processions. He said, “We would shed our blood there, where even a drop of Sunni Muslim’s blood was dripped.” He further said that there was no difference between the Shia and Sunni sect, since the inception of Pakistan, but indeed the terrorists were targeting people of both sects to get their vested interests fulfilled. JI Karachi Amir Muhammad Hussain Mehanti said evil forces were united, while representatives of virtue were scattered. He said Shia people were being killed because they were Muslims, similarly the Sunni people were also being targeted because they were also Muslims. He termed the ongoing spree of sectarian killing as a conspiracy of those western powers, which are invading in Muslim territories across the world. Jaferia alliance vice president Muhammad Hussain Masoodi said Muslim scholars and clerics were sincere in resolving the issue of sectarian violence. He said that like four other school of thoughts, Shia sect could also be acceptable, if it was understand. He stressed the need of coordination and active role of religious clerics. Qazi Ahmed Noorani of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam hailed the role of JI for sectarian harmony and tolerance. He said that they have no hope of any betterment from the government, so the sole responsibility to maintain peace was now on the shoulders of religious leaders.
