SAHIWAL - Senior Adviser to Punjab CM Sardar Zulfiqar Khan Khosa said that the government had made all-out arrangements to maintain peace during Muharram and no one will be allowed to spread religious hatred through speeches, wall chalking or audiovideo material.

Addressing a special meeting held at commissioner office, he said that the district administration and police at local level should establish cooperation with members of peace commettees, ulema and traders to curb the elements who spread hatred among masses.

Punjab Zakat Minister Malik Nadeem kamran, Chief Secretary Nasir Mehmood Khan Khosa, IG Police Haji Habibur Rehman, Home Secretary Shahid Khan, Commissioner Qazi Muhammad Ishfaq, RPO Farooq, DCOs Zulfiqar Ahmad Ghuman, Saif Anjum and Syed Haider Iqbal, Ad Commissioner Nasir Jamal hotiana, ADC Dr Asif Tufail, MNA Rana Zahid Hussain and MPA Khizar Hayat Shah Khaga participated in the meeting.

Malik Nadeem Kamran told the meeting that there was exemplary harmony among all sects of division and this will be enhanced with the cooperation of ulema, and peace committees at tehsil and district levels.

The Chief Secretary directed the administration to confiscate hatred material and monitor continuously speeches of ulema to maintain peace.

IG Police Haji Habibur Rehman directed the police officers to carry out flag-march before Ashura.

He also directed that no property dealer should be allowed to rent out any house without prior clarification from the SHO concerned.

Earlier, the participants were informed that 438 precessions of Zuljinnah will be taken out in Sahiwal Division in which 182 will be in sahiwal and 178 in Okara and 74 in Pakpattan.
