KARACHI – Majils-e-Aza of Imam Hussain (RA), the beloved grandson of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), will be commenced from Friday (today) in the metropolis with great zeal and fervor to pay homage to the grand sacrifice of the Imam, who saved Islam and humanity from the sinful forces.First of Muharram will be observed on November 16 (today) while Youm-e-Ashur will be observed on November 25.Following the practice of decades, the central Majils will be held in Nishtar Park of Jamshed Town in which Molana Shehanshah Naqvi will deliver speech.    However, other largest gatherings will also be held in various mosques and Imambarghah.Ayatullah Aquil-ul-Gharavi of India will address 10 majalis at the house of Late Ali Mutaqi Jaffari, Allama Talib Johri at Samirra Imambargah (New Rizvia Society) and Shuhda-e-Karbala (Incholi), Allama Zaki Baqri at Imambarghah Sharikat-ul-Hussain (G Johar), Husainia Iranian and Mehfil-e-Khurasan, Allama Hasan Zafar Naqvi at Islamic Research Centre (FB Area), Old Rizvia Society  and Aza Khana Zehra; Molana Muhammad Ali Naqvi at Mehfil-e-Murtaza (PECHS), Molana Raza Dawoodani at Imambargah Shahi Najaf (Martin Road), Riaz Johri at Bara Imambara Kharadur, Zuhair Abdi at Imambarghah Yasrib (Defense), Abu Talib Tabatabi at Khalidina Hall (M.A. Jinnah Road), while Molana Shehanshah Naqvi will also deliver speech at Imambarghah Babul Ilm (N. Naizmabad).Various administrations of the Imambargah and Mosques have finalised all arrangements to facilitate the mourners especially in 10 days of Muharram. The concerned government authorities have been asked to take necessary security measures to ensure the precious lives of innocent citizens, while the municipal authorities are also contacted to ensure cleanliness around the various Imambargah. Talking to The Nation, MWM leader Molana Sadiq Taqvi said that this is the responsibility of the government to make sure that the days of Muharram could be passed peacefully.He said that every year thousands of faithful participated in the religious gatherings during the hundreds of Majalis in the mourning days. He said the protection of the citizens and religious places is the responsibility of the government.
