ISLAMABAD - Leader of Opposition in the National Assembly, Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan has said that the provincial government was violating the constitution and the law by not allotting separate seats to the opposition in Sindh Assembly.

In a statement here on Thursday, the opposition leader said it was part of the PPP government’s deliberate attempt not to appoint opposition leaders in Sindh and Balochistan to avoid involving the opposition in the formation of caretaker setup in the two provinces. He said he would give a freehand to the PPP to bring caretakers of their choice.

Chaudhry Nisar said it was the right of every member to decide whether to sit on the treasury or opposition benches and by not affording this right to the members was equal to rigging of elections. He said he would be meeting the opposition of the two assemblies in the next few days, and devise a future course of election so as to ensure free and transparent elections and foil the plan of the government to rig elections.

He alleged that the rulers were daily creating new issues and using illegal means to save their sinking boat but they would not succeed.
