PAKPATTAN - A large number of PPP workers set up a protest camp against the party district leadership and demanded the central leadership to change the district chapter leaders to end sense of deprivation and alienation prevailed among the workers.

As per detail, a large number of workers established the camp at Nagina Chowk against the party district leaders to protest against what they called its "inept policies" which has been creating sense of deprivation among the diehard workers. They said that the district leadership had sidelined staunch and diehard workers over the past four years, adding that the leaders had neglected the workers in all aspects of the party organisation. The angry workers also blamed that due to the indifference and inefficiency of the district leadership the party had been facing defeat since 1997 elections in the district. They asked PPP Punjab President Manzoor  Wattoo to take notice of the situation and change the party district leadership, especially the president and general secretary to strengthen it.
