LAHORE – A ceremony of exchange of experiences in social progress between Punjab and Bihar was held at the Government College University Lahore on Thursday.

The Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif and his counterpart Bihar Chief Minister Natish Kumar presented their vision and social programme to the students.

Chief Minister Shahbaz highlighted the the performance of the Punjab government of PML-N in a very logical manner.

The students heard the speech of the Chief Minister as he compared his performance in education, health, infrastructure and transport sectors, with the previous governments. The CM talking to the Indian CM said that he was a socialist leader and wanted welfare of the people, while he was an Islamic socialist, with the same objective. The Chief Minister recited various couplets of Allama Iqbal on the occasion as well. The Indian CM Natish Kumar said that he had been greatly impressed by the youth development programme of Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, and would introduce such reforms in his province of Bihar too. He said that he saluted Shahbaz for his successful policies. Talking about the steps taken by his s government in Bihar, the Indian CM Natish Kumar said that good governance is the top priority of his government, due to which the Bihar government has achieved record success in education, health and law and order sectors. He said that the Punjab CM was also following the similar programme. Natish invited Shahbaz to visit Bihar and said that during his stay for the last six days in Pakistan, he felt at home. When Shahbaz reached GCU he asked about the laptop scheme upon which the students appreciated him and said that it was a laudable step. Vice Chancellor Dr Khaliquz Zaman paid rich tributes to the education-friendly policies of the CM and said that Shahbaz, who is an old Ravian himself, has introduced revolutionary reforms in the education sector.
