SWABI - Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (Fazl) Thursday organised a Sheikh-ul-Hind Conference, wherein leaders and workers of various religious parties participated with great enthusiasm.
The conference was held at Government Degree College Chota Lahore. The crux of the speakers speeches was that the solution to all the problems confronting the country lied in Islamic system.
Speakers said it was the responsibility of the leaders of the political and religious parties to work collectively, keeping in mind the delicacy and complicatedness of the prevailing scenario in the country.
They said that if the leadership of the thought that they would be able to resolve the country problems with Western counties adopted capitalism system it was totally wrong because we have applied this system since 1947 but what was the result it was clear to every citizen of Pakistan.
Instead of getting rid over the numerous problems we stuck in hot water and there was no ray of hope that we would be able in the near future to resolve our problems while working for putting the country on track of progress and prosperity. At present we are at back foot in each filed.
Distinguished scholar, Maulana Fazalullah, who settled in American, said that the election campaign has already kicked off by the leaders of the political parties and now many people/leaders would once again knock the voter doors while seeking their support and votes for their respective candidates.
However, he said that the masses should be very careful in the selection of the candidates because the elected candidates have not only run the system but they also formulate laws. The people of the country have very right over the leaders to ask that why they failed to work for them, he said. The elected leaders are bound to work according to the expectations of the people, he said.
