Islamabad - Capital Development Authority (CDA) is devising such policies which will help to control non-development expenditure and it will also increase revenue of the authority to make it a financially stable organization. 

Member Finance, Fahad Haroon Aziz expressed these views while briefing the delegation of participants of 133rd ‘Public Finance Manager’s Course’ on their study tour to CDA Headquarters on Tuesday. The participating officers were from various government and semi-government departments. The delegation was briefed on managerial and financial structure of the CDA and Metropolitan Corporation Islamabad (MCI).

On this occasion, member finance briefed the delegation that CDA, financially, is a self sustainable organization and executes major development ventures through its own resources.

 

Following the self reliance policy, CDA would initiate such development projects in the city, which would generate constant revenue, he said.

He briefed the delegation that after assuming charge of the affairs of CDA, Mayor Islamabad and Chairman CDA, Sheikh Anser Aziz has formulated a comprehensive strategy under which priority would be given to the requirements, opinions and suggestions of the residents of the city for future planning and development.

He further said that the planning has been completed for establishing state-of-the-art landfill in capital city so that Islamabad could be equipped with this facility.

Relevant formations of MCI and CDA are carrying out survey for suitable site for early initiation of this important project.

He said that development new of sectors, restoration of development activities and improvement of road infrastructure of the city is among the priorities of mayor of Islamabad.
