KARACHI: To take part in a joint exercise with Pakistan Navy fleet, two warships of Chinese navy arrived in Karachi on Wednesday.

According to Pakistan Navy spokesman, the exercise is aimed at enhancing capabilities and bilateral defence cooperation.

He said the joint exercise will assist in providing security to China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) ships leaving Gwadar port, as Pakistan’s aircrafts, drones and warships are safeguarding all CPEC ships.

Officials said Chinese navy officers will also meet Pakistan navy authorities and discuss security issues.
