Quetta -  Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) arrested two officers of the passport office over taking bribe here on Tuesday.

According to FIA sources, Deputy Director FIA Rizwan Aslam along with FIA crime circle staff raided the passport office located on Joint Road and nailed two assistant directors of the office namely Shamsullah and Malik Anwar.

The held assistant directors have been charged with misusing their position and minting money from people in issuance of passports.

The FIA sources disclosed that action was taken on the revelations made by a data entry operator of the passport office Yousaf Malik. The FIA apprehended the accused red-handed in front of a magistrate when they were taking money from a citizen.

The date entry operator had already been arrested by FIA on the complaint of a citizen and he revealed these secrets of the FIA staff during investigation.

FOUR SUSPECTS HELD IN DERA BUGTI

Law enforcement agencies nabbed four suspects on Tuesday in the area of Pitokh in Dera Bugti.

According to FC Balochistan spokesman, sensitive agencies and Frontier Corps operated in Pitokh area of district Dera Bugti and nailed four operatives of an organisation while arms were also recovered from their possession.

In Quetta police apprehended three dacoits involved in several robbery cases and three other convicts in the area of Satellite Town. The police also confiscated arms and mobiles from the custody of dacoits and other convicts.

While in another action in Chagai, the Levies force seized 350 kg drug-making chemical and 4x4 vehicle after exchange of fire with smugglers. The drug-making chemicals are worth of millions in international market, said Deputy Commissioner Chagai.
