ISLAMABAD: Following the passing of the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act 2016, the Islamabad High Court has nominated a District and Sessions Judge and a Civil Judge as presiding officers of the court to hear cyber crime cases. 

District and Sessions Judge Iram Niazi has been given additional charge along with Civil Judge (West) Abdul Ghafoor Kakar. 

Responding to a letter by the Ministry of Law and Justice the Islamabad High Court registrar issued a notification nominating Ms. Irum Niazi, District and Sessions Judge/Judge Special Courts (CNS) and Mr. Abdul Ghafoor Kakar, Senior Civil Judge (West), as Presiding Officers of the Courts established under Section 44 of the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act 2016.
