ISLAMABAD - Estranged Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) MNA Ayesha Gulalai Wednesday criticised party chief Imran Khan for remaining silent on the recent issue of a girl that was paraded naked in a village in Dera Ismail Khan.
Addressing a press conference, she alleged, PTI chief was reluctant to speak on the matter because one of his close aides, Revenue Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ali Amin Gandapur, was patronising the people who are involved in the crime. She also condemned the KP government for remaining silent on the issue.
Earlier, PTI MNA Dawar Kundi had accused Ali Amin Gandapur for patronising the accused in the case. She questioned that a 16-year-old girl was filmed while being forced to parade naked in the village of D.I.Khan and whether this was the change the PTI has introduced in K-P?
She also alleged Gandapur for taking drugs and quoted an example of a case in which Islamabad police had booked him for possessing liquor and openly displaying ‘unlicenced’ weapons during the ‘Islamabad lockdown’ protest of PTI in 2016. Gulalai alleged that that chairman Imran Khan had aroused Tehreek Labbaik Ya Rasool Allah (TLYR) to stage a sit-in at the Faizabad Interchange and paralysed life of the residents of capital. She alleged Imran Khan for having close ties with the Taliban.
