Aleem talks about changes in LG law

LAHORE   -  Senior Minister Punjab Abdul Aleem Khan has disclosed that there are more changes in the new Local Bodies System of Punjab and now there would be 25,000 Village Councils and each village will be having independent set up with the facility of direct funding and the beauty of the system would be that all villages would be flourishing with development at the same time.

While talking to media outside Punjab Assembly, Abdul Aleem Khan said that new local government system would be empowering representatives with financial and administrative powers and including nawaz league no one should be worried as it be in the larger interest of system.

He categorically said that now no Member of National or Provincial Assembly but the local bodies representative would be allocated development funds which would revolutionary step indeed on the pattern of developed countries.

Abdul Aleem Khan said that unfortunately last government did nothing but bankrupt the federal and Punjab Government by wasting national exchequer for their personal motives and run their kitchens as well. Abdul Aleem Khan said that use of government funds for construction of walls of houses and heavy corruption and commission resulted in the present state of affairs in which masses have to bear financial burden.

He assured that present Government is working in the right direction and soon relief would be provided to them.

Replying a question, Abdul Aleem Khan said that in the last 80 days of present government no case has been made against any party or leader and all these cases were initiated by nawaz league or people party against each other and responsibility of these matters cannot be put on PTI Government.  He pointed out that such forces shouting now were why silent when in 2015 proceedings were started against him when he contested by elections in NA 122 and gave tough time to Sardar Ayaz Sadiq.

Abdul Aleem Khan said that he left Ministry in 2007 and after 8 years of it allegations were leveled against him for political motives only.

Replying a question, Senior Minister Abdul Aleem Khan said that if the reservations are genuine they must be redressed. He said that Ch. Shujaat Husain and Ch. Pervaiz Elahi are our collation partners and their alliance with PTI will continue on long term basis with mutual understanding.

He assured that issue raised by any Member of the Assembly must be adhered and main agenda of progress and prosperity will be flourished with collective efforts.

On another question, Abdul Aleem Khan said that with regard to South Punjab there will be good news soon and a Secretariat will be established for the people and they can get their issues resolved and masses would not have to bother to travel along.

Senior Minister said that present Government of PTI has set a new example in the recent by elections and not even one constituency any complaint has occurred about administrative or political pressure.
