LAHORE - Punjab Minister Information and Culture Fayyazul Hassan Chohan has expressed that health insurance cards worth rupees four lac are being introduced in Punjab that will facilitate artists and people connected to different disciplines of fine arts very year.
In the first phase 10,000 artists will be issued health cards in this scheme. Different programs shall be staged and arranged for artists and each one shall be provided monetary assistance of one lac rupees. The minister shared this information in a meeting with prominent figures of of Fine Arts. He added that a Talent Hunt program is being arranged to encourage and promote the emerging singers. Eulogising and appreciating the commendable services rendered by literary legends he expressed that creative writers are ambassadors of our country who toil their sweat and pen for the betterment and soft image of country. He assured that writers and artists will not be left alone in any state of crisis are hazards. He acknowledged the bold steps taken by information and culture department under auspices of of Chief Minister Punjab Usman Buzdar. The fresh dawn is nearby and all shall witness happiness, jubilation and prosperity. The drama scripted on the life and works of Sipahi Maqbool Hussain was greatly appreciated in Alhamrah Arts Council. Next to that a new drama is going to be presented on the theme of dowry in society. In response to a question he replied that Shahid Afridi is our hero and Kashmir is the backbone of Pakistan.
