Warring tribes sign peace pact

The rival tribes of Kurram Agency signed a peace deal in Murree Thursday, ending the one and half year clashes which has claimed about 1000 lives. A 15-member committee of rival tribes and peace jirga comprising 23 members singed the peace treaty in a jirga held in Murree. According to the agreement both sides agreed that all roads closed about one and half years ago, would be opened for all kind of traffic. They agreed that both Shiite and Sunni would go back to their original positions by leaving the present areas, while all bases occupied by the two sides will be given under the control of Frontier Corps. A tribal jirga representing all tribal areas will be held in Kurram Agency on November 2 in which one more agreement will be done to evacuate the occupied areas. It may be mentioned here that about 1000 people were killed in clashes between Bangash And Turi tribes in Kurram Agency.
