There is a gridlock in Pakistan between Punjab Assembly and three other Assemblies of smaller provinces on the issue of Kalabagh dam. The human population of Punjab is 63 per cent while the three provinces comprise 37 per cent people. As such the 37 % is keeping hostage 63 % people of Pakistan, which is not fair. The provinces are only administrative units and are not sacred boundaries to threat national projects of vital importance. The opposition of ANP and Sindh is based on politics as stated by the Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani. There is no technical or scientific basis for the three provinces with 37% population to stop a vital project of water and power development of Pakistan. This is plain suicidal. DR.
