LAHORE - The Board of Directors of Agribusiness Support Fund (ASF), at its 21st meeting held on 7th October, 2010, has elected Mrs. Munawar Humayun Khan as its Chairperson for a term of 3 years. Mrs. Khan was nominated by the outgoing Chairman, Sher Zaman Bazai and unanimously elected as Chairperson. Mrs Munawar Humayun Khan was inducted to ASFs Board of Directors to represent the development sector. Chairing the Board of Directors of Sarhad Rural Support Programme (SRSP), which is one of the countrys leading NGOs, she has 15 years of experience working with people at grass roots for empowerment and poverty reduction. Maintaining active involvement in the development sector, she is on the Board of many other exalted not-for-profit organizations including: Pakistan Center for Philanthropy (PCP), Dost - Drug Rehabilitation Center, Ghazi Barotha Taraqiati Idara and the Rural Support Programmes Network (RSPN). Besides possessing a varied experience as a farmer, agriculturist and educationist, she has also represented Pakistani women as a diplomats wife in different countries.
