HANGU At least eleven persons, seven among them volunteers, and four militants were killed when the tribal volunteers attacked militants in Lower Orakzai Agency. According to details, armed with weapons, a lashkar of tribal volunteers attacked militants positions in Bigo Tangi area in lower Orakzai Agency. Led by the chief of the lashkar and prominent tribal head Malak Salamat Khan, the volunteers attacked the militants. In the clash, seven volunteers were killed, and six others got injured. Also, four militants were killed and three others injured in the fierce clashes that erupted on Thursday midnight and continued till Friday evening. The militants reportedly also opened indiscriminate fire on moving vehicles in Kasha area. The militants fired on a double cabin vehicle, and killed a female passenger identified as Bibi Jamala W/O M Rahim, while Nauro Jana W/O Mohammad Ibrahim, Ayesha D/O Ibrahim, M Saleem S/O Surat Shah got injured. All the injured were rushed to district Hangu hospital, while the dead bodies of the murdered volunteers are in the custody of the militants till the filing of this report. The injured passenger Mohammad Saleem, while talking to media persons, said that for no reason the militants had started attacking vehicles plying on a road passing through Kasha area. He said that clashes between volunteers and militants had intensified.
