ISLAMABAD Two Pakistani players Javed Ashraf and Faiza Zahida will show their class in two different disciplines of the 46th Qubica World Tenpin Bowling Championship which will begin from October 16 to 24 at Toulon, France. Secretary Pakistan Tenpin Bowling Federation (PTBF) Ijazur Rehman informed reporters here on Friday that the federation sent its two players including a male and a female to in singles and mixed double categories of the event. He said that around 380 bowlers from 120 countries would fight for the top honours during the nine-day international bowling showpiece. Our players are confident and willing to produce notable performance in the international competitions, he said. Ijaz further said that Pakistan had also participated in this 45th edition of the World Tenpin Bowling Championship in 2009 and the boys did well in Malaysia. We have great talent but there is a need to polish that to spark at the international level, he added. The 46th edition of the World Tenpin Bowling Championship will be played at Dream-Bowl Palace, a state-of-the-art 44-laner bowling arena of Toulon. The players from all over the world will compete in the singles, doubles, masters, trios and team event fixtures, he said.
