LONDON-Peruvian fashion photographer Mario Testino, who has photographed Kate Moss and the royal family, has been awarded an honorary Order of the British Empire (OBE). Having been born in Peru, photographer Mario Testino won’t be going to Buckingham Palace to collect his OBE; instead, he will be presented with it by the Peruvian High Commissioner. The 58-year-old, London-based photographer has captured many members of the royal family, including the late Diana, Princess of Wales just months before her death in 1997, and, most recently, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge for their official engagement photos. Testino is a regular contributor to American, British and Paris editions of Vogue, and has released a book of photos solely of British model Kate Moss.   Earlier this year he created a capsule collection of bags, kaftans and jewellery inspired by the landscape and people of his native country exclusively for, with a percentage of sales donated to his Lima-based charity MATE.–TG
