QUETTA - The Balochistan government has delegated police powers to Frontier Corps (FC) for one month more in the provincial capital to maintain law and order.

According to a notification of Home and Tribal Affairs Department, the FC was delegated police powers till November 16. It may be mentioned here that the FC was delegated police powers last year for two months following rise in the incidents of sectarian killings, bomb blasts and lawlessness. Later, extension was granted by the government. Now once again FC was given police powers for one month to maintain peace in the city.
