The police have chalked out comprehensive security arrangements for maintaining law and order on Eidul Azha and special deployment will be made for Eid congregations to avert any unpleasant incident across Punjab.

According to details, in Sahiwal, DPO Syed Khurram Ali Shah said that a well-thought plan had been chalked out for foolproof security on Eidul Azha in the district. He declared that no one would be allowed to take into ones hand and all troublemakers would be dealt with sternly.

Talking to the newsmen in his office, the DPO said that special deployment would be made at place where Eid congregation would be held besides effective patrolling in all sensitive areas. He said that leaves of all police personnel had been cancelled and had been put on red alert to ensure security across the district. The DPO pledged that the police would rise to any challenge in way to maintaining law and order and would utilise all available resources to thwart the nefarious designs of the anti-state elements.

Syed Khurram Shah directed all the circle officers and SHOs to discourage crime and criminal and enhance patrolling to intact tranquillity on the auspicious occasion of Eidul Azha.

Similarly correspondent from SANGLA HILL reported that Nankana Sahib DPO Syed Muntazir Mehndi directed all the station house officers to adopt foolproof security arrangements for maintaining law and order during Eidul Azha across the district.

Speaking at a meeting held to review security arrangements for Eidul Azha here the other day, the DPO said that Eid congregations would be held at about 424 places across the district including Nankana Sahib, Syedwala, Warburton, Morr Khunda, Buchawki, Mandi Faizabad, Baraghar, Sangla Hill and Shahkot. Elaborating the security plan for Eidul Azha, the DPO pointed out that one SP, five DSPs, 14 Inspectors, 41 Sub Inspectors, 66 ASIs, 32 Head Constables, 689 Constables and 567 volunteers would perform their duty at different place across the district. Muntazir Mehndi asked the officials to strenuous efforts for the security of markets, bus stands, Mosques, Eidgahs and other important public places across the district.

In HAFIZABAD, the District Police have made comprehensive security arrangements to ensure peace and tranquillity on Eidul Azha.

According to DPO Muhammad Zubair Dareshak, 700 cops and commandoes were being deputed near Eidgahs and other places of Eid congregations across the district.

Moreover 10 patrolling teams would continue patrolling round-the-clock. In addition to this, all the 16 entry and exit points on Motorway and others routes would be sealed to prevent the entry of any suspicious element in the district.

He warned that those found creating law and order situation would be dealt with iron hand. The cops deputed at the entry points of Eidgahs were provided with metal detectors to prevent the entry of any dubious character. Meanwhile, flag march by the police was held to create a sense of security among the citizens.

Meanwhile, the DCO imposed Section 144 CrPc, prohibiting the establishment of any camp by any religious organisation and NGO to collect hides of sacrificial animals on the eve of Eidul Azha. He also prohibited carrying and display of firearms on October 15.

Whereas in NOORPUR THAL, the Tehsil Administration has finalised a foolproof security plan to provide security to Eid congregations in different areas of the Tehsil.

“During a meeting held under the chair of DSP the local officials of police department discussed various aspects of the security plan and took several important decisions” said an official here the other day.

He said that policemen would be deployed at Markazi Eidgah, Jamia Masjid Qazi Sahib, Jamia Masjid Madni Mohallah Ghulooanwala, Jamia Masjid Aqsa and Jamia Masjid Mohallah Poharanwala where Eid congregations would be held.

He told that law enforcers had been directed to keep a strict vigilance and take result-oriented actions against hardened criminals, miscreants and anti-social elements.
