ISLAMABAD – Wapda and Punjab won the juniors and youth categories respectively in the 3rd National Junior and Youth Athletics Championship 2018 here at Pakistan Sports Complex on Sunday night. In junior category, Wapda grabbed first position with 194 points while HEC finished second and Punjab third. In youth category, Punjab finished on top with 151 points while Khyber Pakhtunkhwa secured second and Railways bagged third. Athletics Federation of Pakistan (AFP) President Major General (R) M Akram Sahi handed over cheques of Rs 100,000 and Rs 50,000 respectively to the Asian Games bronze medallist javelin thrower Arshad Nadeem and his coach Syed Fayyaz Hussian Shah Bokhari during the concluding ceremony while the crowd and athletes gave them standing ovation.–Staff Reporter
