Afghanistan in conundrums

Afghanistan is a global battleground that is a hotbed of various regional and international elements. Consequently, the wave of instability and pandemonium is prevailing in the region and rendering the life of its inhabitants miserable. The Afghans have long been yearning for peace and stability but unfortunately, it has remained a distant dream.

Recently, IS-K, Islamic State Khorasan group, rivals of the Taliban, poses the biggest threat to the withdrawal, after carrying out a suicide bombing in the Kabul airport that claimed more than 100 lives, including those of 13 US troops. The locals are living their life with fear and trepidation and a large number of people have migrated towards other countries for the safety of their life and properties. The incumbent Taliban regime must take concrete measures to eradicate the extremist and terrorist groups in order to bring peace and stability to the region.
