ISLAMABAD(Online)-President Asif Ali Zardari has said that government will not leave the flood affectees alone and they have the first right on all the Federal and provincial resources. He said this while talking to Punjab Governor Salman Taseer who called on the President at Aiwan-e-Sadr on Wednesday. According to Presidential spokesman, situation arising out of the floods in different parts of the country and law and order situation in Punjab came under discussion during the meeting. Sources said that Punjab Governor apprised the President of the ongoing rescue and relief activities of the government of Punjab in flood hit areas in the province and told that people were returning to their homes and rehabilitation and reconstruction would be a major challenge. Talking to Salman Taseer, President Asif Ali Zardari said people of Pakistan were a valiant nation and 'we have full capability to change this challenge into opportunity. Relief aid from foreign countries was also coming and its transparent utilisation was being ensured. He underscored that the whole nation would have to get united for elimination of terrorism because terrorism had no religion and the war against such elements would be taken to logical end. Punjab Governor also informed the President about the outcome of the inquiry conducted so far into the suicide attacks at Karbala Gamay Shah and Data Darbar saying collaboration and close coordination between the Federal and provincial institutions was inevitable to improve law and order situation.
