BP donates $1m for flood relief

LAHORE - British Petroleum has donated $1million to the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies to aid the victims of the floods in Pakistan. This donation supplements British Petroleum efforts in assisting communities and local administration in some of its concession districts in Sindh. The company has already spent US$ 250,000 to cater to local support in the form of procurement and distribution of medicines including anti-snake venom serums and ration bags to displaced families and providing logistical support to the local administration. British Petroleum Pakistan staff has contributed a total of US$ 64,763. The British Petroleum global staff donation drive is still ongoing. The total donations collected will be announced once the contribution date comes to a close.
