KARACHI (PR) - Pakistan is going through some extremely tough and difficult times and Germany is interested in helping Pakistan through these difficult times. This was stated by German Consul General in Karachi Dr Christian Brecht at a reception held in honour of a visiting German business delegation. The German Consul General said that the federal republic was keen to help Pakistan through the concept of increasing trade as said so often by President Zardari. A 28-member German business delegation visited Karachi as part of a familiarisation trip to Pakistan. He informed the visiting delegation that Karachi was a very important business hub of Pakistan. He said that Karachi generated 65 percent of the tax revenue and more than 35 percent of the GDP of the country. He also said that it was a major industrial centre and hosted tens of thousands of industries ranging from textile, leather, manufacturing and the countrys largest steel mill.
