Wapda distributes gifts

LAHORE - A WAPDA team led by its Land Acquisition and Resettlement (LA&R) General Manager, distributed Eid-gifts worth Rs.1.2 million among 728 families, affected by the heavy rains and consequent flood in Thore and Thurli valleys in Chillas area of District Diamer in Gilgit-Baltistan. Eid-gifts, presented to the affectees, comprised of two packages - one, family food package weighed 34 kilogram containing atta, rice and other articles of daily use, and the other, beddings/clothes package containing quilt and clothes. WAPDA carried out this activity as part of its continuing exercise aimed at providing relief to the flood victims in the areas adjacent to its projects throughout the country.
