Pakistan has said that it has taken all necessary measures in support of nuclear non-proliferation and extended full cooperation to the international community. In a response to a question regarding comments made by Dr A Q Khan in a leading newspaper about transfer of nuclear technology, the Foreign Office Spokesman said that the matter had been thoroughly investigated in 2003-04. "It had been clearly established that the proliferation activity was an individual act and did not carry authorization of any Pakistani government, at any stage”, he said. The Spokesman further said that the so-called Dr A.Q Khan affair was a closed chapter.
