WAZIRABAD - Gujranwala CPO Abdul Razzaq Cheema has stressed the need for mutual cooperation between the police and public for bridging the gap to curb the menace of crime and establish durable peace in society. He was addressing an open court at the City Police Station here the other day.  He said that to achieve the goal, the police should go ahead with friendly hands towards the public for ensuring smooth provision of justice to the poor, needy and oppressed people. He said that the police should not tolerate any pressure and deal criminals with iron hands.“Nobody will be allowed to carry any weapon whether he is elected or unelected as security of the common man his honour and property is the duty of the Police” he stressed. He vowed to purge the Police of corrupt and negligent officials, saying there was no room for black sheep in the department. Later he heard the grievances of the people and ordered solution of the problems.
