The prime objective of the establishment of the company was the industrial development and provision of employment to the people of KP, EZDMC Board of Directors (BoD) Chairman Ghulam Dastagir said.

“We have already hired the services of highly qualified professionals to attract industrialization in KP and we are working on a package of incentives for industrialists,” he said.

He was of the view that the federal government had already exempted the province from all kinds of taxes for the period of five years and we want to take maximum advantage of it.

The company, he said, plans to develop four new industrial estates included Hattar, Phase VII, Ghazi, Jalozai and Rashakai industrial estates in next few years while it is also under consideration to rehabilitate Hayatabad, Gadoon and Hattar Industrial Estates.

With the total cost of Rs 379 million, around 424 acres of land has been acquired for developing Hattar Industrial Estate Phase VII.

Moreover, infrastructure development cost for the same project has been estimated Rs 1186.431 million, Chairman BoD EZDMC said.

He explained that EZDMC will ensure all utilities including electricity, gas and other requirements at industrial units. Besides, “Each industrial estate will have its own board of management of resident industrialists, who will be trained and guided by the company in the management skills required to run the industrial estates,” he said.
