LPG prices increased by Rs10/kg without OGRA’s approval

ISLAMABAD: The distributors of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) have increased fuel prices up to Rs. 10 per Kg without the approval of Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) across the country.

As per details, the people will pay an additional Rs. 240 on purchase of a domestic cylinders and Rs. 480 for commercial cylinders.

Chairman All Pakistan LPG Distributors Association Irfan Khokhar said the marketing companies have escalated prices without the government’s notification. He revealed that Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC), Parco and Pakistan State Oil (PSO) are on the top of black marketing companies list whereas government companies are also involved in corruption.

He further criticized the government for not taking action against distribution policies and said that the new prices of the 90 kg cylinder would be Rs.1030 in Karachi, Rs.1095 in Lahore, Kasur, Gujranwala, Gujrat, Faisalabad, Sialkot and Peshawar, Rs.1150 would be charged in Rahimyar Khan, Sadiqabad, Hyderabad and Attock while the domestic cylinder in these areas would be available in Rs. 1250.
Moreover, LPG prices in Gilgit-Baltistan, Murree, Nathiagali and Balakot would be Rs 120/kg while the price of domestic cylinder has escalated to Rs 1350.
