LAHORE: A 75-year-old man was crushed to death by a rashly-driven car when he was strolling outside his house in Johar Town on early Tuesday.

Syed Hamayun Hussain was on morning walk outside his G-block residence when a speedy car ran over him. The old man was rushed to the Jinnah Hospital, where he succumbed to wounds. The driver along with the car fled the crime scene. The police have registered a case and are investigating with no arrest made yet.

ELECTROCUTED: A father of two was electrocuted to death when he was working at an under construction house in Laiqatabad. Police said Ilyas Ahmad, a resident of Gujranwala, had been working as an electrician at a shop located on Ravi Road.

On Tuesday, he was repairing wires at an under construction house when he received sever electric shocks. He was rushed to hospital where he expired later.–Staff Reporter
