Coronary Artery Disease (CAD) is the most common type of heart disease caused by a buildup of plaque in the coronary arteries, reducing blood flow to the heart. It is also one of the most dangerous and deadliest of diseases circling the world. According to WHO, about 7.4 million people die of heart diseases every year. In the US, coronary artery disease is the most common disease and takes about 380,000 lives each year.
As expected, the lethal disease is more common among the poor and the situation is worsening day by day, owing to lack of awareness. An overwhelming majority of Pakistanis cannot afford the specialised health care that they desperately need. In reality, there is an urgent need of excellent healthcare and awareness among the masses, so the disease can be controlled. To adopt a healthy lifestyle, eating a healthy and balance diet along with daily exercise is must. I request the government to eradicate the disease.
