Pak, China working together to establish peace in region: Masood

Pakistan’s Ambassador to China, Masood Khalid has said that the mega project of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) has given a new dimension to the bilateral relations between Pakistan and China.

The ambassador said that China was investing billions of dollars in different sectors, including energy, infrastructure, transportation, Gwadar port, industrial parks and economic zones under the CPEC.

He said that CPEC, which is a cluster of projects, has started yielding benefits as Pakistan’s grass domestic product ratio has increased.

He also said that some seventy thousand Pakistani citizens are working in different projects launched under the CPEC. He added that nine universities in China have started teaching Urdu language, while twenty-five thousand Pakistani students are studying in Chinese educational institutions.

Khalid Masood said that both Pakistan and China are working together for establishing peace in the region. He said that efforts are being made to promote Pakistani films and dramas in China and enhance interaction between media of the two countries.
