LAHORE - A proposal for a new districts in Punjab is under consideration. After the meeting of multiple MPAs belonging from Faisalabad Division with CM Punjab Ch Parvez Elahi, the Board of Revenue Punjab has been directed by the CM office, to whichthe Revenue Board Punjab, has directed commissioner and deputy commissioner of Faisalabad Division to provide the required information regarding the creation of new administrative district ‘Samundari’ in Punjab. According to the details available, during a meeting of MPAs Pervaiz Gill, (PP102), Hafiz Mumtaz Ahmad, PP (105) and ex-MPA Arif Mehmood Gill with CM here on Thursday, it had been desired to upgrade the status of tehsil Samundari as administrative district in Faisalabad Division. According to the official documents the Revenue Board Punjab, has asked for 13 essential information required for upgrading a tehsil into a new administrative district in Punjab. The Revenue seeked following regarding the upgradation of Samundari to as new administrative district in Faisalabad Division: Location/land details, alongwith tehsils to be included in new proposed district, details of Mauzas, patwar circles, revenue circles besides related maps proposed to be included in tehsils/district. Moreover, detailed mapsof existing & proposed setup for new proposed district are also sought. Similarly, detailof required and existing staff for departments to be established in new proposed district alongwith estimated expenditures. Expected estimated expenditure on development and non development projects. Potential revenue generation, population, area, union councils, number of police stations &sub-divisions in tehsils besides details of health, education and other public services providing facilities are also requested.
