ISLAMABAD - The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has approved allotment of 276 residential plots for the remaining dwellers of katchi Abadi of G-8/1. The approval was made at a meeting of the CDA Board held here on Wednesday. The CDA Chairman, Kamran Lashari, chaired the meeting while Member (Engineering) Moin-ud-Din Kakakhel, Member (Environment) Mazhar Hussain and other high officials of the Authority were also present on the occasion. Talking to TheNation, a senior official of the Authority said that the dwellers of G-8/1 and Alipur Farash katchi abadies would be provided three marla plots on ownership basis. The Board also decided to allow management of schools, colleges and universities to set up institutions in H-17 Sector, the official informed. However, he said the management of the educational institutions would purchase the land for their respective campuses. He said the Board decided to develop the sector itself and the development charges would be paid by the institutions, adding the details of procedures codes would be advertised in the press. The Board also decided, he informed, to impose scrutiny fee of Rs 100,000 and Rs 25,000 from universities and schools respectively in Zone-II and Zone-V as per terms and conditions.
