National Junior Athletics trials tomorrow

KARACHI The Athletics Federation of Pakistan will hold national junior trials at Islamabad on Sunday to select one athlete for the world championship to be held in Canada. The IAAF has given Pakistan quota for one athlete and one official for the championships. According to information available here, the AFP is expected to select one athlete from any event who finishes closest to the international records. In the meantime the Sindh Athletics Association has allowed three girls to appear in Islamabad meet. They are Sabrina (100/200 meters) Nadia Ishaq (shot putt and discuss throw) and Nadia (800 meters). The three girls has bought tickets from their pocket after the SAA assured them that the money spent on travel and other DA will be reimbursed to them on their return.
