Will, Kate portrait made of stamps sells for 5,000

THIS stunning royal portrait of Prince William and Kate Middleton has sold for 5,000 despite being made entirely of stamps. The sticky masterpiece depicts the future King and his bride-to-be in front of the Rose Window at Westminster Abbey where they are to be wed. Retired teacher Peter Mason spent two weeks handcrafting the incredible design, which features 3,800 recycled stamps. The artist, 67, has been working with stamps for more than 20 years and has previously used the same techniques to create pictures of Princes Charles and Camilla, the Queen and Princess Diana. His portrait of the royal couple has already been snapped up by an anonymous bidder for 5,000. SWN
