Pakistan cycling team for Asian C’ship

LAHORE - The national cycling team will be named here on April 17 to feature in the Asian Championship being held from May 20 at Astana, Kazakhstan. "The PCF selection committee comprising Shiekh Ejaz, Tariq Alvi, Munawar Baseer Ahmed, Nusrat Khan and Sardar Nazakat Ali finalise the national squad at a meeting based on their performance in the national and international events home and abroad,” said PCF secretary Syed Azhar Ali Wednesday. He said the national selectors would select both men and women riders and hopefully a contingent of 15 riders and officials would represent the country in the Asian Championship. "We are the genuine cycling federation as we are recognised by Asian and international cycling bodies and our teams are regularly taking part in all the major international events.” Staff Reporter
