Islamabad- President Mamnoon Hussain will pay a four day official visit to Nigeria from Monday, on the invitation of Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan. During his stay, President Mamnoon Hussain will hold talks with his Nigerian counterpart Goodluck Jonathan. Senior officials of Nigerian government including the vice president will also call on Mamnoon Hussain.  Foreign Office Spokesperson Tasnim Aslam said this will be the first presidential visit from Pakistan in the last three decades and an
excellent opportunity to exchange views on regional and international issues and matters of mutual interests. She said the two sides will also discuss ways and means to further enhance bilateral cooperation particularly in the areas of economy and trade.
Tasnim Aslam said the President will also address business forums in Abuja and Lagos. She said trade relations have improved between the two countries. The total volume of trade has doubled from thirty one million dollars in 2011-12 to sixty six million dollars in 2012-13. She expressed the confidence that the visit will give new impetus to bilateral relations.
