QUETTA - Three out of the seven children, who got fainted after being administered anti-measles drops in Qila Abdullah, died during medical treatment in a hospital Thursday.

According to reports, the children were administered measles vaccine on Wednesday. Seven children got fainted afterwards who were rushed to a nearby hospital. Three of the affected children died on Thursday while four were being treated at the hospital.

The Balochistan Health Department has ordered inquiry into the incident.



Armed men killed three persons, including two women, near the Pak-Afghan border in Zhob district on Thursday.

Levies sources told that assailants opened indiscriminate fire at a vehicle in Zhob's Qamaruddin Karez area.

Subsequently, three people of the same family were killed in the attack.

The family was going from Sambaza to Gul Kach and the assailants escaped unhurt from the spot.

Levies personnel reached the spot and started an investigation into the incident. The motive behind the incident could not be ascertained.

The bodies were shifted to Civil Hospital Zhob for medico-legal formalities.
