Quetta: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has taken notice of death of 6 children, due to substandard vaccination of measles in Qila Saifullah district of Baluchistan.

Two more children died today, due to substandard vaccination of measles in Qila Saifullah district of Baluchistan, bringing the death toll to six in two days. PM took notice of the incident and sought report from the concerned departments. He ordered for arrest of culprits behind the incident.

Several children were reported to be in critical condition and four of them died, after they were administered anti-measles vaccine on Thursday, in a government-run hospital of Qila Saifullah district. The affected children were later shifted to Civil Hospital Quetta for treatment.

Abdul Qadir, the medical officer of children ward in Civil Hospital, said the vaccination was not substandard. Doctors said several affected children were still under treatment in Quetta hospital.
